Research Overview
Description and Topics
The Femtosecond Laser Lab pursues research at the intersection of ultrafast laser science, quantum information, and molecular dynamics under the direction of Prof. Debabrata Goswami.
Femtosecond Laser Lab at IIT Kanpur
Established in 2004, the Femtosecond Laser Lab at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur focuses on theoretical and experimental laser-based optical approaches to coherent control of molecular dynamics. Our research spans quantum computing, biological imaging, femtosecond chemistry, control dynamics, measurement, information theory, and cognition.
We investigate ultrafast laser pulse shaping applications in gaseous and liquid phase molecular dynamics, opto-electronics, biologically relevant multi-photon fluorescence microscopy, optical trapping, and quantum computing.
